The PerfectOffice has a perfect browser; i.e. one that * is fast * does tabbed browsing (e.g. planner in one tab, bank web site in another, credit card in another) * has toolbars with search forms (i.e. galeon smart bookmarks) for google searches and work people searches * groks CSS without crashing * SSL (bank web site) * print to postscript * password cache (must be open source) * can print good postscript files (see PescoPrinter, DebianPackage:pdq, DebianPackage:cupsys) Stuff that's more convenient on some than others * cite by title, date, address. e.g. konqueror has file info, but you can't select the title. :-{ (@@javascript bookmarklet) I don't (yet) rely on these features: * Java without crashing (my brother wrote a slide show thingy that I'd like to try) * flash without crashing (can't replace IE on the iMac without this, cuz of my kids) <hr />**6Feb2004**: modularity is one thing, but firebird doesn't come with mailto: support out of the box any more! <a href="http://mozex.mozdev.org/installation.html">mozex</a> to the rescue. Interesting... offers IRC support too...
